IMPERIAL — Cambria Hotel Imperial, a 108-room upscale property by Choice Hotels, officially opened its doors Tuesday, introducing travelers to the only full-service hotel in the Imperial Valley.
Managed by San Diego-based Brick Hospitality, the Cambria Hotel brings a fresh, innovative lodging experience to the region, complete with modern guest rooms, locally sourced dining at 1905 Bar & Grill, and premium amenities, the company said in a press release.
The Cambria Hotel Imperial is the sixth brand in this chain and is part of the Choice Hotels family, world-renowned for its innovative lodging options. This Imperial property features one floor of long-term rentals with full kitchens and three additional floors of rooms and suites, the company said.
“This hotel offers something new, fresh, and innovative for guests coming to the Imperial Valley,” said Dallas King, an industry veteran with 20 years of experience and CEO of Brick Hospitality. “The Cambria Hotel Imperial conveys a heightened level of comfort, excitement, and creativity for travelers looking for a special lodging experience in this market.”
According to Brick Hospitality, the hotel's opening marks a significant milestone in Imperial County's economic development, providing employment opportunities and boosting local tourism. The hotel currently employs 50 people from the area.
As with all Cambria hotels, the Imperial property will offer a restaurant and bar featuring a curated selection of local craft beers and signature cocktails; a stylish 2000-square-foot meeting and event room; spa-inspired bathrooms with Bluetooth® mirrors; and a state-of-the-art, 24-hour fitness center. There will be an indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Cambria properties also feature their unique Cambria Contactless Concierge, a text messaging service for housekeeping requests, to-go food orders, meeting room requests, and more, the company said.
The hotel's signature restaurant, 1905 Bar & Grill, will serve locally sourced, unique dishes, small plates, craft cocktails, and creative beers. It will offer many options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that will appeal to all types of discerning palates.
“The Cambria Hotel Imperial will be a game changer in this area, bringing an upscale vibe, beautifully appointed high-tech guest rooms, and long-term rentals, and the finest in food and beverage options for leisure and business guests and local visitors alike,” said General Manager Todd Bean, who has more than three decades of hospitality experience with brands such as Wyndham, Sheraton, and Choice Hotels. Bean has extensive knowledge of sales, marketing, operations, and food and beverage. “This hotel will become the gathering place for those living in and visiting the Imperial Valley.”
Bean and the Brick Hospitality team oversaw the hotel's opening, including all recruitment. Engaging with the local community is a key focus for the hotel, and Bean will play an active role in promoting it as a business traveler, tourist, and regional destination.
Gafcon Inc. managed the construction of the hotel and the new Innercare PACE and Healthcare Center in the Northpointe development on the corner of SR-86 and Neckel Road in the City of Imperial.
