11/4/2014 - KGTV.com: Like many other veterans about to transition out of the military, Brandon Andrews had his concerns.
"The closer you get to the date, the more worrisome it becomes," he said.
Andrews spent six years as a Navy SEAL, deploying twice to Afghanistan.
"At the end of the day, you're walking away from that and leaving everything you know," Andrews said.
Enter Yehudi Gaffen, the CEO of Gafcon, a construction consulting firm.
"My sister's daughter is dating a Navy SEAL and that's how I met Brandon," said Gaffen.
The two started talking about life after the military. Gaffen offered Andrews an internship in his business to learn how to run a business.
"Brandon brought four of his friends in the SEALs to a team building event for the company and taught us the same culture in the SEALs could apply to the business world as well," Gaffen said.
Andrews is planning to launch a website to help connect with veteran-oriented business ventures which he hopes will also connect others leaving the service.
"There are a number of CEOs and organizations out there that other veterans ought to know about that want to help us," he said.
