Gafcon was selected to provide construction management services for the 240,000 SF apartment and commercial office building in the Little Italy community of San Diego. The building encompasses a 28-story tower with two surrounding eight-story and 12-story towers. The high-rise, mixed-use building includes 201 residential units, 9,000 SF of commercial space, four levels of underground parking, an infinity pool, view deck, and 8,456 SF of retail/commercial space.
This was the first San Diego project for Allegro Towers. The Gafcon construction management team worked closely with Allegro’s in-house project manager, introducing him to the San Diego building industry and assisting him to build key business relationships. Gafcon managed the contractor bidding process, assisted in the final contract/general conditions negotiations, and successfully managed the City building permit process.
