Gafcon, Inc. provided owner’s representative and construction management services for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Northwest Campus Housing Infill Project, serving as an extension of UCLA’s Capital Programs and Housing departments. This LEED Gold Certified project included two residence halls constructed on a steep site requiring extensive shoring and added nearly 500,000 SF of residential space.
Gafcon, Inc. services included contract management, communications and outreach, constructability review, cost estimating, and LEED certification support. Gafcon developed an online document management and information control system which streamlined sharing of project information between the facilities department and contractor, accelerating completion to four months ahead of schedule.
