Gafcon, Inc. was retained to provide construction management services to the Pala Band of Mission Indians for the development and construction of the original Pala Casino and Entertainment Center. Gafcon, Inc. provided design oversight and consultant coordination, programming, preparation of RFP for contractor selection, contract negotiation and administration, pre-construction services, and various construction management assignments.
The project includes a 190,000 SF building housing a 60,000 SF Casino, an indoor-outdoor entertainment lounge, administration and security offices, employee facilities and dining, 600-seat upscale buffet dining, two themed restaurants, full-service kitchen, 20,000 SF multi-purpose room, 1,400-space parking lot, new waste water treatment plant which serves the entire reservation, new wells and water storage for the casino, and a 1.5 acre artificial lake adjacent to the casino terrace.
